Y2O3 is insoluble in water and alkali, but soluble in acids, and is usually white.Because of its excellent performance in corrosion resistance, heat resistance, magnetism, strength and dielectric constant, nanometer Y2O3 is widely used in many fields such as catalysts, fluorescence, dielectric insulation field luminescence, waveguide, magnetism, coating, superconducting materials and fuel cells.

There are relatively more preparation methods for nanometer Y2O3. In terms of various methods, the solid-phase method has many technological steps and is easy to introduce impurities. In addition, the prepared product has relatively large and uniform particle size.Although the particle size of Y2O3 ultrafine powder prepared by sol-gel method and hydrothermal synthesis method is small and the purity is high, they all have the disadvantages of high preparation cost, high requirement, low yield and long cycle, which are difficult to be used in industrial production at present.

This project adopts the precipitation method, through the improvement of Y2O3 preparation method, dispersant modification and other optimization processes, to a large extent, the product particles are smaller, specific surface area is increased, the morphology is neat, and the particle size distribution is uniform, crystal type is complete, high dispersion ultrafine yttrium oxide powder with excellent performance is obtained.
